MALAWI – SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Current Situation
Christianity was introduced in Malawi in the late 1800's
A lot of churches are coming, but very few pastors
On average (Presbyterian church), a pastor has 10 prayer houses to maintain (preach, weddings, etc)
A lot of church elders and deacons have no theological training, leaving a lot of them unable to carry over pastors responsibility
This results to lack of spiritual growth in people
What We Intend To Do
Hold trainings several times a year for elders and deacons to understand the scriptures
Teach elders and deacons how to interpret the scriptures
Help church leaders carry over responsibilities in the absence of a pastor
A well educated church leader will help the community grow spiritually
